About Private Guitar Classes
My private classes are well organized, employing highly effective teaching methods in order to maximize your progress towards mastering the guitar while minimizing ineffective practice time. You will leave our weekly sessions with a bulleted list of exactly what to practice, as well as CD’s and other educational materials. I teach pick-style and finger-style guitar, from Latin American and Classical to Jazz improvisation, all popular styles. I am an experienced working professional musician. I hold a BA in Jazz performance from Berklee College of Music and an MA in ethnomusicology from University of California at Santa Cruz. I have been teaching guitar for more than 15 years, focusing on the needs of the advancing musician.
